Happy Earth Day!!!

Happy Earth Day, Mousefans! I thought today would be an appropriate day to share these pictures of some of my favorite inhabitants of this planet on our trip to Disney’s Animal Kingdom! Today is not only Earth Day, but it is Disney’s Animal Kingdom’s birthday! Disney’s Animal Kingdom opened on April 22nd, 1998.

If you’re looking for a good way to celebrate Earth Day, consider heading to the movies to see Disneynature’s Monkey Kingdom. If you see this fun family film during opening week (April 17-23,) Disneynature will make a donation in your name to Conservation International to help protect monkeys and other endangered species in their natural habitats. About The Author

My name is Michaelyn Pouncey and I am a mom to three beautiful girls. I grew up in Southern California and was lucky enough to have a Disneyland annual pass up until recently. Disneyland was a huge part of my childhood and I love that it is a part of my children’s as well. I started this blog first and foremost out of my love for everything Disney. I also wanted to help other people who may want more information on the parks or who just want to look at some pretty pictures of all things Disney has to offer!

I agree! Out of all of the parks, I was the most excited to go to Animal Kingdom! Everyone thought I was crazy, but it was just so different from everything out here in California and so very beautiful! Thanks for coming by, and more importantly, thanks for hosting! πŸ™‚

Monkey Kingdom is a must see. We saw the screening and it is amazing. All the Disney Nature films are!

Thanks, Penny! I was afraid we wouldn’t get to see too many animals close up, but was so glad we did! It was our first trip to Walt Disney World. I had no idea when we’d get another chance to go, so I just snapped pictures of everything! haha

  • Fab montage with some lovely familiar shots from the Safari.

I especially love the Zebra photo – I never seem to have much luck getting more than one in the same shot like that!

    Thanks for sharing πŸ™‚
